The Byre @ programme was introduced in 2008 reflecting the Byre’s position in a largely rural community, acknowledging our responsibilities to our local market in Fife and to allow increased access for people in rural areas to have access to professional theatre on their own doorstep.

An innovative project, Byre@ has successfully reached towns and villages throughout Fife, bringing live professional theatre to them, performing to thousands of people.

Supported by Fife Council and the Robertson trust Byre@ plays a key role in the Fife community to acknowledge that theatre should be for everyone and it is up to arts organisations to provide as much access as possible to achieve this.

So far the Byre@ Programme has reached outside our home the Byre and performed for the residents in:

• Auchtermuchty;
• Crail;
• Culross;
• Cupar;
• Falkland;
• Ladybank;
• Leven;
• Markinch;
• Newburgh;
• St Monans;
• Tayport
