Fife Contemporary Art & Craft aims to present the highest quality of contemporary visual art and craft activities to the widest possible public across Fife, with a significance extending to the rest of Scotland, to the UK and EC.
Operating as an agency since 2006, we are establishing opportunities for the people of Fife to
experience quality exhibitions and take part in ambitious projects by local, national and international artists and makers, as well as
providing new means of supporting the development and networking of artists and makers based in Fife.

Founded by A B Paterson in 1933, the story of the discovery and acquisition of the disused byre in Abbey Street has passed into St Andrews folklore. 'AB' and his members converted the building into a theatre, and in spite of its primitive facilities and tiny stage, the Byre Theatre eventually developed into a professional repertory company. The original theatre was replaced by a much larger modern building in 1970, which in turn, was superseded by the state of the art venue which is Byre III.
Throughout, as founders, the St Andrews Play Club has retained its connection with the theatre.
Currently, we mount two full-scale productions at the Byre in Spring and Autumn, normally running for 9 or 10 performances.

The only regular festival dedicated to poetry in Scotland, StAnza is international in outlook. Founded in 1998, it is held each March in St Andrews, Scotland’s oldest university town.

The festival is an opportunity to engage with a
wide variety of poetry, to hear world class poets reading in exciting and atmospheric venues, to experience a range of performances where
music, film, dance and poetry work in harmony, to view exhibitions linking poetry with visual art and to discover the part poetry has played
in the lives of a diverse range of writers, musicians and media personalities. The simple intention of StAnza is to celebrate poetry in all
its many forms.
