Following an award from the SAC partners project we are delighted to welcome David Hughes and Al Seed to join us in residency at the Byre. In an exciting new project at the Byre both artists will be given a remit to create a series of outreach and education programmes for people in the Fife community whilst developing their own work.
The Byre Theatre is offering the unique opportunity for students interested in following a profession in Theatre, or wanting to fine tune skills all ready gained to participate in an 7 week course on a Monday evening at The Byre Theatre.
Course runs from: 29th October –17th December (Excluding 12th November) From 6.00pm – 7.45pm at a cost of £45

An award winning performance artist, Al Seed has developed an excellent international reputation in the field of circus, street arts and physical theatre. A graduate of the University of Glasgow, Al co-founded Vanishing Point Theatre Company with whom he performed for three years. Subsequent to this Al studied Physical Theatre and Contemporary Circus Skills at Circomedia, Bristol, where he specialised in mask-work and mask-making.
Al has been artist in residence at the Arches in Glasgow since 2005. As part of his residency at the Byre he will be working with students from Adam Smith College in a new course in Physical Theatre. View course details on http://www.adamsmithcollege.ac.uk/student/courses/CERTPTP
