David Hughes started dancing in Leeds, he went on to graduate from the London contemporary Dance School in 1985. In Davids 22 years as a professional dancer he has performed for a variety of companies including: London Contemporary Dance Theatre, Rambert Dance Company, Adventures in Motion pictures, Siobhan Davies Dance Company, Phoenix Dance Company, X Factor Dance Company, Oktana Dance Company, DV8 physical Theatre, as well as commissioning two solo shows with choreography by Bob Cohan, Christopher Bruce, Siobhan Davies, Wayne McGregor, Javier De Frutos, Cesc Gelabert and Pit Fong Loh. David went on to form his own company David Hughes Dance in July 2005 with new commissions by Rafael Bonachela and Hughes Himself.
