Who are the Friends of the Byre?
The Friends of the Byre have played a key role in the success and development of the Byre Theatre since their formation in 1965 and have been able to provide the theatre with valuable financial and practical assistance throughout the last 45 years.

This help has allowed the theatre to buy equipment or upgrade our facilities to make the experience of visiting the Byre all the better for you, our audience.

How does membership benefit me?
It’s never been a more exciting time to be a friend with many new privileges and benefits to membership giving you more benefits than ever before!

Friends Membership Package
There are different benefits available to becoming a friend with different prices involved starting from only £10!

Single Membership £10 (Joint Membership £15)
For the £10 & £15 membership you shall receive, discounts off Friends of the Byre events and receive a regular newsletter keeping you informed of the latest news.

Single Membership £20 (Joint Membership £30)
To receive more benefits for only £20 you will receive:

• 10% of most shows at the Byre Theatre
• Our regular newsletter shall also keep you up to date of all the latest news!
  
  Discounts apply to the card holder only. Joint members shall get two cards.
  
  We shall use your annual subscription to bring you a diverse range of quality entertainment throughout the year as well as a thriving education and outreach programme that the Byre is renowned for across the country.

  How does your membership help the Byre?
  Simply put without your help and support we wouldn’t have been able to do this:
• 2005: Assisting the finance for Byre Theatre Productions
• 2006: New theatre technical equipment
• 2007: Foyer lights replaced and improved to more efficient options
• 2008: Inside Out Festival
• 2009: IT equipment
• 2010: Youth Theatre representing The Byre & Scotland at the International Exchange Festival in Belgium
