The Byre Theatre plays an important role in the St Andrews & Fife Community as well as the Scottish Arts community.

In 2008-09 we held over 1000 events to over 85,000 people throughout St Andrews & Fife.

Many of these events were professional performances you may have enjoyed in drama, dance, music, etc. Other events were educational that you may have found inspiring and informative. Some allowed community & youth groups to act out life long dreams of performing on stage. Some events were just about having fun!

Whatever the reason, none of these events would have been possible without the generosity of our many supporters.

Your contributions are vital to the success and future of the Byre Theatre. We need your support to allow us to continue to:

• Produce critically acclaimed productions.
• Programme a diverse range of events to suit everyone with professional acts sourced for your entertainment from the UK and abroad.
• Produce the Byre@ programme taking professional theatre to rural locations throughout Fife.
• Provide Educational support to nurseries, schools and community groups throughout Fife.
• Create opportunities to try arts & crafts through Haydays, our weekly 50 and over arts & crafts class.
• Produce funds to run our popular youth theatre for 3-18 year olds.
• Operate St Andrews only free children’s play area.

The Byre Theatre is a charity organisation and requires funding from many sources to enable the Artistic & Education & Outreach Programme to continue to supply St Andrews, Fife & Scotland with the quality, variety and depth of work currently created.

Ticket income alone does not sustain the theatre, which is where financial support through Fife Council, Creative Scotland and many more trusts, foundations and organisations is so vital to aour existence.
